I think men nowadays are very scared of the word âfeminism.â It has all of these negative connotations, and thatâs the first thing we have to tackle is getting away from that. Youâre a feminist if you want to support women and equal rights. Thatâs it. Itâs that simple. Thatâs what the word at its heart implies: A man who is willing to see a woman, in every aspect of life, as an equal. So for me personally, Iâm proud to say Iâm a feminist. I have three sisters, and I canât wait for them to go out and do amazing things in the world. I really support them and I think if you canât want every woman to succeed to the best of her abilities, and have every opportunity you had as a man â that logic of not supporting that is not one that I understand. So I think itâs an amazing thing to be a part of, and an amazing thing that sheâs done, and Iâm so happy to support her in any way that I can.TV: kiabi robe blanche PHOTO: CHARLIE ENGMAN. A white person can make the same argument as a PoC and receive more recognition for it, all because they’re making it from a position of privilege. Too often it feels as if no one hears what marginalized groups are saying unless it comes from the mouth of an ally — people hear our grievances but they don’t hear us. The unprivileged want to be heard — and not only when an ally speaks for us. kiabi robe blanche
