Saying no. That's been interesting. Yesterday, I passed on a project. Like I felt good about it. When you know how much you're worth, and if you start to act like that, then all the things that you deserve, I think, come back to you.TER: maroquinerie tendance In 2016, I created the project “Unmasked Women.” I started thinking about my experiences coming into the U.K. I had been quite severely racially bullied when I was really young, [which] meant that I was constantly trying to erase elements of my culture, forcing my hair not to be natural, doing everything I could to fit into a culture that didn't want me to fit in. Pretty much every single job I've ever worked in, apart from the one that I created, I've been the only Black person and Black woman in all the organisations I've worked in. When I created “Unmasked Women,” it was really to push out some of the research that I found, and try to understand if our experiences in the U.K. [could] be linked to our mental health. I always imagine that Black Girl Fest was really just like a bigger version of what was created with “Unmasked Women.”TVI was listening to yourTED Talk maroquinerie tendance in India — and it was quite the celebration.
