What was your inspiration for it?Troye Sivan: is clearly setting up nods to past slasher movies, it's no surprise fans are already betting Emma taking on the role. The "final girl" in a horror movie is typically depicted as a young, innocent, virginal young woman (even if she isn't technically a virgin, she doesn't have sex in the movie and thus, maintains her purity for the purposes of the story) who doesn't like to engage in the rowdy behavior her friends do. While everyone else is cool with partying and hooking up, the final girl is shyer and would probably just be a wallflower at whatever party you took her to. Because of these traits, the final girl is the only girl typically left standing at the end of a slasher flick.
