He’s a rapper who is no less misogynistic than his peers, even if he doesn’t blatantly target women —a fault commonly forgiven when the lyrics read as positive and spiritual. (Misogyny is longstanding not just in music but in religion itself.) He is a Black man who makes more money than society says he should, but it's only thanks to a long-standing corporate structure that demands as much from him as it gives him freedom to be himself.
