• GROUP PROGRAM CAN HELP EVERYONE SUBSTANIALLY

I wanted to create a character that deviated from the idea of the myth of the perfect victim. What I really wanted was for the reader to almost be conflicted in blaming Emma, even for a split second, because we all have these attitudes so deeply ingrained within us because we’ve been fed this narrative by the media and by our culture that women need to take preventative measures to avoid being raped, and if they don’t take those measures, that somehow being sexually assaulted is their fault. That’s so deeply ingrained that I wanted the readers to have that moment where they, alongside Emma’s friends and neighbors and community, are almost asking themselves, "Well, what was she expecting? Was group bike "MAYOR OF RIVERDALE: what’s on my schedule for today? AIDE: you have 9 meetings with local teens, as you do every day.
