made her become the first woman ever nominated for best cinematography. Mary J. Blige is now the first woman to nab a nomination for best supporting actress for a performance in a film directed by a woman of color (along with being nominated with Taura Stinson for best original song "Mighty River"). miraculous pajamas meaning they are disproportionately represented among the country’s missing persons. miraculous pajamas is clearly setting up nods to past slasher movies, it's no surprise fans are already betting Emma taking on the role. The "final girl" in a horror movie is typically depicted as a young, innocent, virginal young woman (even if she isn't technically a virgin, she doesn't have sex in the movie and thus, maintains her purity for the purposes of the story) who doesn't like to engage in the rowdy behavior her friends do. While everyone else is cool with partying and hooking up, the final girl is shyer and would probably just be a wallflower at whatever party you took her to. Because of these traits, the final girl is the only girl typically left standing at the end of a slasher flick. She has the strength and smarts to take on the killer, often finding a way to outwit them in the end and survive the horrific ordeal. miraculous pajamas Why would it be Emma's character? From what we've seen thus far, her character is comparatively reserved and more conservatively dressed than her friends. For example, Billie's character is all rock and roll with big, teased blond hair, bold makeup, and even bolder clothing choices; Emma's character opts for clothing in neutral pastels, headbands, sweaters, and low-key makeup. Her style is classic "final girl" material. Add to this evidence in the trailer that Emma's character seems to have survived a home invasion in the past and isn't seen in as much peril as her friends (we don't doubt she'll be in the thick of it, but we have to go on what the trailer shows us for now), and it's hard to consider Emma playing any other kind of character other than some sort of play on the final girl. Then again,AHS: 1984 miraculous pajamas
