You may have heard of the American Academy of Pediatrics. But have you heard of the American College of Pediatricians (ACPeds)? The former is the professional affiliation of children’s doctors. The latter is a fringe group that appears to benefit from a similarity between the two organizations’ names in order to peddle deeply conservative views about abortion care, comprehensive sexual education, and of course, trans-affirming care for youth.
